I is sporting some gorgeous vintage buttons Paula once sent me, they really make perfect owls eyes.
I thought this might be a good opportunity to finally show you what a great treasure  I was given by Paula last September... almost half a year ago... oh my, time is flying, don't you think?!

Along with those precious buttons the most beautiful vintage fabric came to me. I just love the pattern, the colours and the texture.

Once again, Thank you so much, Paula, for this generous gift.

Some words on the enthusiastic reception of my woowls...
First let me just say a word I rarely use since I don't like it too much but in this case it seems to fit pretty good. So I give in and say: WOW.
Believe me I had the greatest pleasure during the whole owl project (and still have), it is one of those  very loooooong stretched moments of pure bliss. From the initial urge to play with my wools till the photo shooting I was actually smiling, feeling a bit childish though but also very thrilled by knowing these woolstrucked owls were only the beginning... there are so many possibilities in them!
It's so good to see my joy with the project jumping over to you. I already saw some owls popping up in your blogs - maybe you could leave a link to yours in the comment section of my last post so we can all see them?

There have been questions about the pattern... I replied I could not pass it since it is copyright protected and was thinking of a way to give some hints for making those owls but as I saw today, a very similar pattern is already out there...

The last week I hadn't much time to craft or reply to all your nice comments, so there are just these three new owls and a Big Thank You today.

Have a good start into the fresh week (I wrote that a week ago... this blog appears to be a weekly blog these days...)!

Hi! I've been reading your blog for a while & just wanted to say your owls are just the cutest! I'm inspired.

Oh, thank you for the hints. The owls are darling (my husband even peeked over my shoulder and said, "Those are cute!").

Die süßen Kerlchen und vor allem die wunderschönen Bilder sind wirklich wieder FREUDE PUR!!!

I love them!

LG Simone

uuuuh... don´t know if i like the colored ones better or if i prefer the monochrome ones... they´re just lovely!
envy you for those beautiful buttons... the reds are adorable.
can´t wait to see what you´ll do with them!

those buttons + fabric are wonderful. and the new owls...!! i love them lined up on the bench :)

Oh those buttons ARE so perfect as owl eyes. Love the little ones so much. You are talented.

I missed them the first time, but WOW! The owls are really really really fantastic. I would have loved them at any rate, but with the letters, I have such ideas for them! Based on the tutorial link at craftster that you sent, I might have to make some of my own, and I think they will make great gifts for the children I'm visiting this summer in Berlin. Maybe their names spelled in owls? If I'm ambitious, a whole alphabet in owls?

Thanks to you to do such nice thinks!
I love the first picture so much!!!
Arigatoo.

You don't see me in those photos, but I am just behind you in the cheerleader outfit going "GO WOOWLS!!" They are so cute Alex. You truly have a talent!

i love these little guys. are they available for purchase, and if so, where? i'd love to have one come live with all my other owlies. . .

You are soooo welcome Alex. You are just the perfect person to send these sort of things to. Those buttons look really great as owls eyes. Absolutely great! I just love these guys :)
