The bag got older and we had a little celebration a while ago. Just us, some tiny tea party to solemnize one whole year on the fence. Freezing in winter, greeting the cheering colours of spring, suffering under the unmerciful strong sunshine and humidity of Japanese summers, being overgrown, seeing autumnal typhoons come and go, still being here when another winter begun.
I watched this old friend of mine over the past year, getting excited each time I ventured out to see if she was still there. Careful not to draw too much attention while taking a photo... to let sleeping dogs lie. Nobody should get the notion to pick her from the fence and toss her somewhere. We had a great year together. Yes, all in all it was a good year. The second of this blog.

I didn't invite you to our little party, because I didn't know if I could offer you some cake while others whom I promised some sweets ages ago, are still waiting for theirs... I have that
almost pathologic inability of closing parcels (finishing blankets or quilts, washing those last pieces of cutlery on the bottom of my kitchen sink...), you know... It is a shame. But there seems to be hope. I recently successfully sent off my photo for Megan's swap... I think I should just take advantage of my newly found energy and offer you those leftovers that were in the freezer since December. To say thanks for being here.
Thanks for your kind words, for inspiring me and for being so generous.
This helped a lot to bear my husband's total ignorance of my craftiness. Just kidding. I don't care anymore. I have you now. Still, just kidding.
It was a very nice year with you though!
Let me know if you'd care for some cake, I think there are three pieces left. I'll keep them until next Monday
15:00 16:00, local time.
Closed. The winners have been notified.
Have a nice day!
