Today I told a friend I would not quite feel like myself because I hadn't been knitting for weeks. It's almost a month now... not good. There was a little bit of sewing recently but that was happening so quickly, I barely can remember sitting in front of my sewing machines. Real life has taken over, keeping us busy at the moment, but it will be for good, so much I can tell you already.
Winter in Japan looks so bright and tidy. With the leaves fallen down the trees and all freshly cut, streets look so much wider and houses aren't hidden behind lots of green. In summer plants are growing rampantly here, which is great, but I do experience the months of leafless plants in winter as a time to come to a halt, take a breath and getting a clear head again before the wild, exuberant growing starts again.
It very much feels like the big cleaning which is done at the end of the year here to remove all dust and clutter of the old year to make things pure and fresh and be ready for the new year.
I hope you have as much fun with these simple book covers as I have.
They are quick and easy to make and once you finished the first you wonder if there are more naked books that could use a nice dress...
