Oh, I was so eager to finish all the needed bags for Dagny before the start of the week... did cause an awful mess over the weekend by doing almost nothing else but sewing, neglecting my domestic duties and let dirty dishes and laundry pile up.
But I did it.
The night before Monday I nearly did get no sleep, but the next morning Dagny and I headed fully equipped for the Kindergarten.
Only to find ourselves in front of closed doors.
The summer holidays appeared to not having ended!
There we stood. My proud little girl in her uniform, so much looking forward to enter Kindergarten, me, proud of my little girl and myself because I managed to make all those bags on time.
Doors closed, curtains shut.
We went home and are awaiting Dagny's big day on Friday, at the beginning of September, as I announced here on the blog recently...

The drawstring bag for the cup ist lined with batting, the one for the lunch box is just lined with cotton. I used two different books ot learn about the typical sizes of all those bags but didn't use particular patterns.
To be honest, there is still one bag to be sewn, but that will be a very simple sac and won't take much time.
Before I am doing that, I promised (to myself) to clean up the house. So I did lots of dish washing yesterday and today it was laundry day. I feel like not really existing right now since I only circulate between the kitchen, the washing machine and the playground. Tomorrow will be mail day - I'll finally come back to you. Thanks for all those wise words on my last post! Maybe I should allow my daughter the same I allow myself: Having a lot of pink in the closet.
