Almost immediately after publishing it I rushed out, going on a little holiday (of course in Japan, there's no reason to leave the country for traveling if you are already here) which explains my total silence about an alternative for the blanketstitch, the way I am sewing the cord loop to the fabric or how I am cutting the fabric for inserting the loop... or how I am punching the felt with my paper puncher. I will say something about those points in my next blog entry. Do you have further questions?
Our short journey through the Northern Japanese Alps has been quite a feast for the eyes as well as for our stomachs. I better not check my weight because traveling in Japan normally means eating lots of the most exquisite Japanese food, and trying all the local specialties, and of course eating the special seasonal food...
