You may have noticed the button for the Marianne's calendar pages swap (famous-for-her-gorgeous-100-flower-scarf Marianne that is... check out her fabulous tutorial for crocheting a flower she published today!)) on my sidebar... I didn't forget about me being a part of that but may have brushed it far aside for some while. I am the Queen of Procrastination whenever I am faced with a technical device I don't know. And exactly that was the situation in this case since I decided I wanted to try screen printing with a GOCCO for making my pages.
April by the way.
It took me about a month after my GOCCO moved in with me to finally give this mighty machine a try... how foolish of me!
This machine is such a friendly creature, I might have fallen in love with it while we worked together this morning... It was the first time I printed something and I was surprised it turned out to be so pleasing.
No need to be scared at all.

Blending colours: fresh green for April.
My original is part drawn, part stamped, my newest kokeshi has been modeling. She has biiiig hair as you might figure out...

My design is very cliche-esque, but April just means sakura to me... unless it's 2006, this year this typical April event happened to happen in March. But it was beautiful then as well.
Next these pages will undergo a treatment with needles and thread, must add some grass, a bird's wing and, of course, a tag .
Thank you all so very much for your comments on my Granny Apron!
Instead of giving in to my new addiction and keep on crocheting the next day I've spent some time to answer you personally but I didn't get back to all of you. Tomorrow will come (is here actually, already November 28th) and I will do my best then. But I also have to sew together a few granny squares into a coaster... On Saturday I went out to see if the Japanese books on crocheting are as beautiful as ZAKKA books... they are. Of course they are. I will show you some as soon as I can.
Today shari's compound word project / round two has begun and I SO have no clue what the first diptychs could be...
Hope you have a good start into this week!
