Blame them for selling these...
So sweet, so good, so much like our favourite Christmas cookie Vanillekipferl, so available around the corner, so lazy me. At least their impact is not confined to adding some extra fluffiness to my hips and belly...
Are you getting bored by these tags? I still love them. I thought of embroidering "boule(s) de neige" but decided against it because I already handappliqued the woolfelt snowballs with a blanketstitch. Some contrasts in colour or technique do good.
Making something of pure wool is causing so much blitheness in me. These textures...!
Sometimes when I'm holding a book (right now Austen's Emma) that's wearing one of my covers, I find myself daydreaming, palpating the herringbone wool... this sweet itchiness...
Must start working on that wool quilt!
Ah, about that: I have indeed thought of it for weeks. But more in the manner of "I'd so much like to make/have one" not in the manner of planning it. It's going to be simple. Simply pieced, adorned. Maybe embroidered, maybe appliqued. Maybe not quilted. Quick, because I am always late and winter will be gone soon.
I hope we have homemade Vanillekipferl on the second Advent.
Have a good week!
