... and getting to the bottom of things.

I grew up with a rather large backyard which I immensely enjoyed.
Summers meant lazy days in our hammock, eating watermelon without plates, climbing trees, picking all kinds of fruit, having fun in the paddling pool... taking shelter inside the house when the sun got too strong... what a good time we had!
Summer here in Japan is a bit different. At least for us ordinary people in and around Tokyo and maybe most other parts, too. As much I enjoy all the opportunities we have here, and as beautiful Japan can be either in the more rural areas or the big city, I miss the possibility to hanging around in a garden whenever there is a bit of time... When we want to get some fresh air here we must go to the park and this means carrying around a lot of stuff, organize something for lunch, starting early because later it would be too late because the sun is getting unbearable on our way to the park after ten in the morning... But we do all that anyway. Because once you actually get there it is fun.
Today...

I never thought I would let her do this... laying out baits for catching zarigani...

Retribution... ;-)

... cried, told me kimochi waruiiiiiiiii (expression for feeling really bad) and got a cold shower to get rid of that nasty smell...

Taking a taxi home, wearing mum's undershirt... what a day!
Back in a few hours with a hexagon update. Till then!
Meanwhile watch this nice clip about a summer's day in Japan if you like.
