Photobooth in front of our nearby grocery store. One of at least three photobooths within 500 m of my home. It takes 27 seconds till the photos are finished. You can reshoot until you are satisfied with the photo to be before you decide to let it print.

Back door of a truck.
I'll be finishing the final part of my daughter's Christmas gift this night, a very simple doll quilt, nothing fancy, just a patched and quilted blanket that will keep her doll warm. Only two more sides of the binding and we're there. As I am hand sewing this binding I constantly must think of the two quilts I am kind of working on, since years... I feel like I should at least squeeze in one tiny block for my Jane feat. Rotkaeppchen quilt before the year ends, just to say hello. I am starting to fear I won't get old enough to finish all my WIPs. If I keep up the speed I am sewing on my Rotkaeppchen blocks, I'll be needing twelve more years just to have all blocks done... sewing them all together and quilting might take me another ten years... I'll be an old lady when this thing is finished... but I guess my old bones will appreciate a fine blanket all the more.
Now I am thinking two blocks wouldn't be wrong to say hello either.

Still on Christmas mode, while everybody around us is getting ready for the New Year (shougatsu).
It's time for the New Year's postcards (nengajou) and they should be in the mailbox today when you want to make sure they'll be delivered on January 1st, as this note from our local post office says.
Edit: Yes, I am still counting. Keeps me connected to you and to this place whilst being without much time for crafting and blogging and writing to you during the winter holidays. And I found such a nice 26 and also a 30 I very much would like to show you... stay tuned.

*Germans are supposed to put up the tree on Dec 24th.
Edit: Now that I failed publishing this post before the day ended (gosh, only a few seconds late!), I should say I do wish we'll find a suitable tree today.
