MOONSTITCHES will not cease to exist... not yet.
I guess I am not alone when, from time to time, I wonder what exactly is the point in keeping a non commercial blog. Well, maybe those blogs that are well written, thought provoking or offering lots of information do have a point even when their purpose or side effect is not making money. Those bloggers are simply doing a good thing.
But my blog always has been rather self centered, only occasionally offering tutorials and most of the times just documenting my crafty endeavours.
Of course I love sharing my view of Japan and know many of you enjoy my photos.
But then again, how interesting is it for you to see the pictures of our annual New Year's walk? Or blooming plum trees again, year after year? Or our Hina dolls every March, or cherry blossoms each April?!? Oh, and then the humid summer is torturing us again...! And the cicadas will soon kill our nerves again with their never ending noise... who really should actually care but me?!
I myself am not getting tired of Japan, neither of my finds in recycle shops and thought I will simply hit the reset button here on MOONSTITCHES, catapulting me back into my innocent days of early blogging when I wasn't so concerned about the interestingness of my postings.
That way I will feel lighter when thinking about whether I just go ahead and post about what's happening here or not... because most things have been written about earlier on this blog and really are usually quite unspectacular which makes me usually just skip most of my intended postings these days.
So, be prepared for being updated on my slow process while working on my latest hand sewn quilt. And a lot of plum blossoms during the next weeks.
It'll getting really slow and irrelevant here on this blog, I mean regarding the nature of the postings, but the good thing is, there will be postings after all.
Hit.
New, old era.
Despite Jennifer's fabulous set with all the great background information about the quilts I will be uploading the photos I have been taking on this year's International Great Quilt Festival in Tokyo in January. And share some of my impressions. First relatively irrelevant action ;)
Oh, and I am going to change the blog's banner. Time to let some fresh air in.
Hope you are well!
Edit: The first photos are up!Going to bed now. Good night!
