I am feeling a bit like lost in the woods, trying to find my way out... or rather in again.
Also I feel like my own grandmother, since I do not know what happened to Typepad and Flickr while I was gone, all looks absolutely not familiar at all, and on top of that I couldn't even remember how I used to write a posting...
Odd feeling, but I try anyway.
This time I think I am really ready.

Whenever I had a bit of time this week I was torn between whether to sew or to blog. Due to the fact that I removed my former sewing desk from my craft room when I got my new shelf, sewing and blogging now really are very close contestants...
Sewing won. A dress for Dagny was just finished and I could write a real posting about it, or about last weekend in Kamakura or my current knitting, or all those finished knittings I never came to talk about... or about making umeshu again, and ume syrup, and jam... but I must quickly hang up the laundry, vacuum our place and get some food, too, before I pick up Dagny and a friend from school in less than one hour.

How can it be?! Last year on December 16th I wrote I might have to do some last minute, super urgent sewing for my little girl.
Boy, I had no idea what last minute, super urgent really means... a dress, we need a dress...!
This afternoon we were folding paper boxes.
Also in the photo one of our latest vintage finds.
Off to bake cookies...
